The crew will focus on a time-on-target flight arriving at Buffalo Niagara International Airport (KBUF) between 0230z and 0300z. From there, the TNFC will then turn and depart for Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (KMKE) no later than 0315z. ​Current weather conditions over the Great Lakes region of the United States are heavy snow with variable to strong winds. Welcome to Destination ICELAND! The Thursday Night Flight Club will begin this week's flight on the Faroe Islands at EKVG. Once prepared, pilots will fly to eastern Iceland arriving at Egilsstaðir Airport (BIEG). After a standard turn and potential equipment change, they will then fly to northern Iceland and attempt the approach into ISAFJORDUR (BIIS). NOTAM TO PILOTS: Once within Iceland, the airport conditions and terrain may become less than ideal. Often, runways are contaminated and the arrival charts provide little assistance. Those flying aircraft larger than a 737-700 may desire to change aircraft equipment at BIEG prior to departing. Please note the change in time based upon the United States' daylight saving change. A dispatch has gone out to every member of the Thursday Night Flight Club to prepare for a 0000z departure from London's Heathrow Airport (EGLL) to fly as fast as possible to Romania's Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport (LRCL). There they will find the distant relative of the Romanian monarchy waiting...Dead or undead. This week, our pilots will fly to destinations along the Mississippi River in the heart of the continental United States. Our Thursday Night Flight Club will launch from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport at (0000z) on 10.25.2024 and fly to Memphis International Airport. They will need to calculate fuel for Memphis as well as their next flight to St. Louis Lambert International Airport as they will not be refueling. After a timed ten minute stop, the group will file their flight plan and depart for St. Louis Lambert International Airport and soar to their final destination at Dubuque Regional Airport. This three-legged flight is going to test the skills and nerves of our crew as they navigate the ins-and-outs of these crowded and often aging airport facilities.
