BONUS WEEK #2, Leg 2: SOARING ABOVE SCANDINAVIA // THURSDAY NIGHT FLIGHT CLUB

LEG 2 ENBR to EKCH: IT'S BONUS WEEK! This is the Thursday Night Flight Club pilot briefing for our second BONUS WEEK of the year. The crew is headed north and SOARING ABOVE SCANDINAVIA! If you participated in BONUS WEEK #1, you know these are designed to break the potential monotony of flying domestically each week within the United States. There are six BONUS WEEKS throughout 2025. Pilots flying this week will set-up for leg 1 departure at Tromsø Airport, Langnes (ENTC) at 0015z on May 9, 2025. A difficult airport during the best of seasons, pilots will find themselves faced with potential shifting weather patterns, the unknown changing weather conditions of Norway and strong winds created by the spring air heating the wintry northern peninsula. The crew will fly to their first destination, Bergen Airport Flesland (ENBR) and find stunning views and additional weather challenges as they arrive. After a 15-minute refuel the crew will then depart from Norway's Bergen Airport and fly to the final destination for leg 2, Copenhagen Airport Kastrup International (EKCH). Denmark's capital city, Copenhagen services the region as well as acts as a major hub for the northern European routes. A few additional reminders to pilots flying this week. There are a few free and paid additional sceneries for MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 11 and 12. We have posted several on this page for MSFS 2020. Please also check all weather and charts prior to departure; both SBFI and SBRJ offer specific challenges, so ensure you are familiar with the charts for both. does require additional third-party scenery. In addition, please make sure everyone visits the pilot resources section of this website to download both liveries and VMR/CSL files to ensure a greater level of immersion for all pilots flying. As always, we will be flying on the VATSIM network and internal communication between pilots will be handled on the official Thursday Night Flight Club Public Discord Channel. This concludes the pilot briefing for our second Bonus Week.
