SPRING HAS SPRUNG AND SUMMER IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!

Two BRAVO 737 aircraft do a delicate "BISON Dance" at the end of the runway, GCLA

Always hate starting blogs out this way, but I need to apologize. We haven't written anything since November of 2023! It sounds cliche, but we have been really busy during the past six months working on a few things internally and a couple for our BRAVO 737 Captains. Highlighting some of those new offerings in this blog as well as an upcoming newsletter, I really wanted to focus on engagement. There are a great core of BRAVO 737 Captains who fly, chat, share and help others. Sometimes they fly in BRAVO 737 colors, but often they fly in their own liveries, on their streams and to their own viewers. That love of the flight simulation community is exactly what we want to encourage.

Thursday Night Flight Club members come together at the end of a flight.

Since November 2023, we have begun our Thursday Night Flight Club, designed more aircraft and content for MSFS 2020 (soon to be MSFS 2024) aviators and have taken a step-back and asked ourselves why we haven't asked our stakeholders what they'd like to see. So included in this blog and newsletter is a poll asking what offerings and direction you'd like to see the BRAVO 737 community take in the coming year.

Most importantly, I want to say thank you! Thank you for always supporting our endeavors. Thank you to those who download our liveries, use the BISON call sign on VATSIM and share your amazing photos and videos and THANK YOU for always supporting those who have questions about their software, hardware and add-ons so we can all enjoy this incredible hobby!

I hope you enjoy the rest of this article and see only blue skies and buttery landings this year! Cheers!

THURSDAY NIGHT FLIGHT CLUB

Just a few flight simmers having fun, flying flights and enjoying some chat time. Some people play golf, bowl or fish - we like to fly!

The Thursday night flights began in 2021 when Craig and Tony began to fly, share tricks and mods (mostly Craig to Tony) and enjoy the calming sense of accomplishment when a buttery landing ended the evening. Since, then, we have had several guest join our flights and they have grown to two, three, four and now many pilots of all backgrounds and skill levels. Flights are chosen each week and posted on the official #ThursdayNightFlightClub page on the BRAVO 737 website. We invite all BRAVO 737 Captains and flight simulation enthusiasts to join in as we fly around the world each Thursday evening (or Friday morning if you're in Europe)!

NEW BRAVO LIVERIES HAVE ARRIVED!
Spirit of the American West, 739ER Launched in Feb. 2024

The BRAVO 737 paintshop has been very busy over the past six months catching up with the new MSFS 2020 designs for the BRAVO 737 House Colors. The hangar is now getting filled with designs which are both mainline in nature as well as custom.

We just launched liveries for the PMDG 737-600, 737-700, 737-900 and 737-900ER. We plan to create a series of "alternate liveries" for each of these variants as well as reflect our previous anniversary liveries including the BRAVO 737 One Anniversary livery and the BRAVO 737 Las Vegas livery. Our third anniversary livery will be coming out later this summer.

Finally, we can't forget some of our favorites, so we a working on developing some of the classic liveries we produced in the #RetroZibo series for the PMDG 737 variants. Of course, we are designing custom liveries for those who would like to have something a little "extra special" when they fly. Please don't forget, the liveries downloaded in the MSFS Hangar not only have the PMDG OpsCenter PTP file, but it also includes a VMR file which can be exchanged and used on VATSIM (vPilot) to create ultimate immersion by reflecting the correct aircraft and livery. BRAVO 737 provides the same level of immersion for X-Plane through the CSL files, however, those are created separately and must be request. Check out our free and sale priced liveries in the hangar on our website!

THE STORY OF THE BISON

The flying bison was born from a crossroads of need and notoriety. As BRAVO 737 gained momentum and more flight simulation enthusiasts learned about our community, there was interest in not only downloading and flying our liveries, but doing it online.

As most know, the word "bravo" is the word in the ICAO phonetic alphabet for the letter "B." Hence, the callsign for BRAVO 737 couldn't be "bravo."

Because the base of operations for our community is in Oklahoma, USA, it made perfect sense to assign the word "bison" as our online callsign. As more flight simulator pilots flew our aircraft, instructions for Bison from air traffic controllers began to echo.

It only made sense to adjust the official BRAVO 737 House Livery by adopting the "Flying Bison" emblem and placing it prominently on each of our aircraft. Additionally, we felt it made sense to add a "Spirit of" salute to those locations our pilots and aircraft fly the most. Thus, we currently operate the Spirit of Colorado, Spirit of Oklahoma and the Spirit of New Mexico. Soon more aircraft will be rolling out including the Spirit of Arizona, Spirit of Nevada, Spirit of Utah and the Spirit of the Rockies on our first Boeing 737-900.
